Media Services is pleased to congratulate our client The Artist on its impressive Academy Award wins last night, including Best Picture. This endearing silent film also took home honors for Directing, Actor in a Leading Role, Costume Design and Original Score. It was nominated in a total of ten categories, and had the distinction of being the only Best Picture nominee filmed entirely in Los Angeles.
We would also like to extend our warm congratulations to The Tree of Life, another Media Services client nominated for Best Picture. The thought provoking, non-linear narrative drama from Terrence Malick also picked up nominations in the Cinematography and Directing categories, after having received the Palme d’Or at its Cannes Film Festival premiere, along with nominations and awards from many other festivals and organizations.
We are proud to have processed the payroll for these two critically acclaimed feature projects, and to have provided production accounting services for The Artist as well.
